Serve Day

Serve Day 2017: April 12th, 2017

Serve day is student created, led, and defended. It originated by a group of determined students that wanted to live true to the mission of our school “virtuously in the service of others.” It has continued to be lived out each year since by the Student Leadership class, which organizes a day where both students and staff go out to serve our brothers and sisters in the greater Kansas City community.

This is part of the St. James curriculum and a day of expected participation for the entire school. If a student is ill or cannot attend, no matter what the reason, the student is expected to complete an additional five hours with their CSP agency. Students will need to have their agency sign off on the additional five hours and turn in that documentation.

Parent Volunteers: Thank you to those parents that have volunteered to help with Serve Day!  Please wear comfortable clothes (jeans are fine) and there may be some outside work involved so plan accordingly.  If you have purchased a Serve Day t-shirt, we will have them for you. One last thing, please bring a sack lunch!  It’s going to be a great day!
