Homecoming Week is THIS WEEK, October 1st-6th! The theme chosen by our Senior Leaders is “A Whole New World”
Monday: Meme Day
Tuesday: Tweedledee and Tweedledum (Twin) Day
Wednesday: HalloWEDNESDAY (dress in orange and black or a Halloween Costume)
Thursday: Throwback (dress like someone from the past)
Friday: Homecoming T-Shirt Day
**Prizes for “”Best-Dressed”” each day! Nominate someone or yourself by posting a picture on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag: #SJAhoco2018
**No yoga pants/leggings or shorts. Jeans and loose-fitting sweatpants allowed. No tank tops or clothing which show undergarments. Please dress with Christian modesty.
The Homecoming Hallway Decoration Community Competition is next WEDNESDAY, October 3 from 5-8:30 p.m. with judging to take place beginning at 8:45 p.m. Opening Prayer is in the Chapel at 4:50 p.m. For guidelines and rules, click here.
Chef Chris will be selling PIZZA this night ($3 per slice, or $11 per pizza, $1 for bottled waters) from 5-7 p.m. out of the Cafeteria. You may bring cash, credit card or pay with your lunch card. To pre-order pizzas by Monday, October 1 to have yours ready at the time you want, click here.

The Homecoming Dance is Saturday, October 6 from 8-11 p.m. in the SJA Commons. Dance Tickets will be sold online only through next Wednesday, October 3 at 11:00 p.m. ***To purchase tickets for the Homecoming Dance, click here.
A reminder of our Student Handbook’s Dress Code Expectations for Dances.
For males: “male students should wear dress slacks, collared/buttoned shirt, tie, and dress shoes (no tennis shoes or flip-flops).”
For females: “No excessively tight dresses/clothes, no visible cleavage or low-cut dresses, midriff must be fully covered (no mesh or shear material) and no crop-top or two-piece dresses, solid material must extend from the front to the back with at least two inches showing on both sides of the back, length of the dress should be no shorter than four inches above the knee and any slits in the skirt should not extend above four inches above the knee.”
If you are bringing a guest from another school to the Homecoming Dance, be sure to pick up an “Outside Guest Registration Form” from Mrs. Bomhoff in the Attendance Office to complete and re-submit to Mrs. Bomhoff by Wednesday, October 3.
