We are feeling blessed by the interest so many families have shown in the opportunities at St. James Academy.
October 1, 2017 – Freshman 2018 On-Line Enrollment Opens
Current siblings of a St. James student or alumni and Johnson County Catholics will be eligible to enroll for the fall, 2018 school year.
This step includes payment of the $250 registration fee and then the eighth grader is automatically registered for the placement test on December 9, 2017. The placement test is a required step in the enrollment process.
After November 13, legacy and JoCo region Catholics’ priority enrollment ends. The enrollment will be based on availability, striving for a maximum class size of 235.
Enrollment priority goes to our supporting parishioners. These priorities were established with the guidance of the St. James Academy Board of Trustees.
December 9, 2017 – Placement Test for Incoming 2018 Freshmen
All freshmen who are enrolled for 2018 are already registered for the test. There’s no additional fee for enrolled freshmen. Check-in between 7:45-8:00 a.m. and plan to stay until 12 noon.
This is a general assessment of core competencies which helps determine the freshmen year coursework. Students should only bring pencils. No advance preparation is recommended.Students who are not yet enrolled because they’re still undecided, can take the test with payment of $25 at check-in.

A community-building lunch is provided before dismissal.
Test awards are presented to the top scorers. All awards are applied to freshman year tuition, and many are renewable for each successive year of high school. Recipients will be notified before the start of the 2nd semester about those results.
January 8 to February 1 – Scholarship Applications Open
St. James Academy offers several coveted scholarships for specific achievements to incoming (2018) freshmen. Freshmen who enrolled and took the St. James placement test are eligible to apply. The detailed application steps will be linked on the Scholarship page under Admissions.
Winners will be notified by the end of February.
February 28, 2018 – Freshmen Enrollment Night 7:00 p.m.
2018 Freshmen and at least one parent should attend, to receive their placement test scores and the next steps to finalize the 2018 enrollment. Sessions with each assigned counselor will help clarify the freshman curriculum.
March 7, 2018 – Scholars Reception 7:00 p.m.
All placement test award recipients and scholarship winners are invited with their parents, 8th grade teachers, principals and pastors to celebrate their achievements and set expectations for continued excellence in high school.

March 8, 2018 – Freshmen Enrollment Closes
With the information received at the presentation the week prior, the online enrollment process must be complete before Spring Break.
