The Kansas Association for Youth (KAY) is a character-building, leadership-training, service organization directed by the Kansas State High School Activities Association. This nationally acclaimed organization provides students an opportunity to fulfill their leadership potential by planning and organizing service projects and networking opportunities with other KAY Clubs in the area.
This year St. James Academy will host the area conference on November 2nd. Thirty-two clubs from the Kansas City area are invited to attend this day of idea-swapping and community-building with motivational guest speakers. The club formed committees and is working hard to make this a fun and valuable day! A few other staple KAY Club projects are helping with various aspects of the Sunflower House Pumpkin Palooza fundraiser, collecting shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, organizing a drive for Giving the Basics, writing letters to the homebound, picking up trash around school, and showing appreciation to the teachers by cleaning their whiteboards.
